EOC Week 9 : What are the benefits vs the features.
The benefits of my food truck are that it will be extremely convenient due to social networking websites such as FaceBook and Twitter. We will use these websites to help spread the word of our business and help all of our customers find exactly where we are that day by gaining followers and "LIKES" on our FaceBook fan page. We will gain a young-person follower fan base by promoting ourselves as a hip, fun place to grab a quick bite in between everyone's most important part of their days. With live music playing from our outer speakers of our food truck, palm shades, chairs and tables, everyone is guaranteed to have a great time. Also, we will sell “Tiki Taco Truck” t-shirts and hats. Both fitted and snapbacks, we will most definitely build somewhat of a culture behind our product. Also, we will offer free Wi-Fi service within a quarter mile radius, so all of our customers will be able to access the internet and even their e-mail while they munch on our delicious meals. According to chapter six, benefit segmentation is, “Dividing the market into segments according to the different benefits that consumers seek from the product.” Chapter 6, P. 16. Using this marketing tip, we will serve different types of foods during different parts of the day. For example, we will serve our Tiki Burger only in the afternoon, and our breakfast Tiki Burger Slammer between 9-11am. Our features will not only help my food truck look better in the food truck market, but also help create a better customer experience because honestly that’s what drives a business, is customer service and providing a great customer experience. Not only are we a food truck, but a brand in our name. “A brand is the company’s promise to deliver a specific set of features, benefits, services, and experiences consistently to the buyers.” Chapter 7, P. 40.
